About Me

As an NHS Speech and Language Therapist and support helpline volunteer, I have had extensive training and over 25 years of experience working with adults facing challenges. Although I am not a counsellor or psychotherapist, I am very familiar with providing individualised, non-judgemental and compassionate care using a range of therapeutic techniques.

I understand the importance of providing a safe and supportive space for people to share their thoughts and feelings. If you have things on your mind, I'm here for you to talk to in confidence.

After suffering a loss myself some years ago, I learnt first hand how walking could help me. The process of putting one foot in front of the other and being outside in nature enabled me to get through this difficult time. Walking is now an important part of my life and I regularly meet friends to walk locally, I’ve completed several solo multi-day walking trips in the UK and I’ve been trekking with groups in the mountains of Morocco and Romania.

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my three children and other family and friends, going away in my campervan and participating in activities such as running, yoga, tennis and a book group.

I'd love to hear from you so please do contact me today to schedule your first session.
